A Personal Development Module
Overview
For both employees and employers, a new reality and relationship
has emerged. The 1950's - 1960's paternalism that promised job security
in exchange for hard work and loyalty is gone forever.
No employer, trade or institution, can guarantee job security over
the long term. Organizations will continue to right size
themselves in an effort to improve both efficiency and effectiveness.
While employment security is declining, security of employability
for those prepared for this new reality is growing.
Reinventing Yourself Through Personal Career Ownership
is a three day program designed to help people gain more control
over their work lives. Using a hands-on approach, participants learn
the tools to develop responsible self-reliance in their careers.
Career ownership is defined as an ongoing process involving self-trust,
responsibility and personal accountability for all career decisions.
Participants produce and initial version of their own personal
plans for success in the program.
The program gives everyone an appreciation of the fact that:
Each of us will have the opportunity to reinvent ourselves.
