A Management Training Module
Overview
Top
management often asks: Am I really setting myself up for a
beating when I request an assessment of work force attitudes?
Employees often reply: Why should I give management any indication
of my true feelings, since little or nothing is ever done with the
results of opinion polls or attitude surveys?
The answer for both points of view is that there are good
even imperative reasons for managing morale. A well executed
morale management system can be diagnostic and preventive in an
organization. Morale assessments can tell management what is good
and what needs attention within specific parts of an organization.
Using Morale Management is a one- day program on how
to implement a comprehensive and integrated set of activities to
proactively deal with employee morale. Using exercises, role playing
and group discussion, managers learn how to prepare for, administer,
analyze, feed back and act upon periodic attitude assessments.
